I am one of those people who can’t eat the same thing from week to week.

I don’t do well on meal plans (well, sort of) because they’re so restricted that I start actually gagging on the food I eat after a period of time. I’ve created massive food intolerances because of restricted eating and it took a long time to over come it.

Eating on a plan shouldn’t be about restricting everything you love to eat, you just need to learn balance when it comes to dietary intake. I like to keep my food simple and add sauces or such later, that is how my palate works.

By far, my favorite recipe is from @emilyfrisella’s cookbook, Fresh Farmhouse Cookbook, Slow cooker Salsa chicken… Its ridiculously simple and I love adding a dab of full fat sour cream and guacamole on the side when I feel like it. Heck, I can even add it to taco shells or lettuce wraps, it’s very versatile.

Food doesn’t need to be complex, it just needs to fuel your body and give you the nutrients you need to survive every day.
